Fastrax Software GPS is designed to perform all GPS calculations on the main processor, using only a small portion of the available resources. This allows large savings in GPS hardware cost in consumer electronics devices.
Target Applications
Fastrax's solution is targeting high volume consumer electronic devices, such as cell phones, E911 phones, laptop computers, digital cameras and Personal Navigation Devices. Suitable target applications are high volume consumer devices with high-end processors that have a capacity for a clock speed of approximately 500 MHz or more.
Functionality and Performance
Fastrax Software GPS has very low MIPS and memory requirements and it is easily portable since it is based on the iSuite architecture, which is originally designed for embedded environments. Fastrax Software GPS is already ported to x86 and ARM processors and to Windows, Windows CE and Linux operating systems.
