Fastrax Multiplatform concept allows designers to address several customer and market requirements with a single hardware design thus saving considerable amount of development time, testing, documentation and support cost while reducing time to market to an absolute minimum.

Fastrax MP (Multiplatform) receivers are pin compatible with each other offering common form factor and main functionality. The receivers offer very high sensitivity, low power consumption and excellent navigation performance even in the most demanding environments.

• Fastrax IT03-S (EOL)

All the MP modules work with NMEA protocol, while binary protocols are not compatible. In order to verify seamless change between modules it is important that any Fastrax IT MP design is made according to the Fastrax IT MP Application Note. Mutliplatform, MPx30 Footprint:

The second Multiplatform footprint supported by Fastrax is smaller, only 9,6x9,6x1,85mm. Currently two of Fastrax modules support this footprint, the IT430 and the IT530. The modules have some pin out differences, but by following Fastrax MPx30 design notes, one and the same HW design can be used for both modules. The decision of which module to use is made by choosing which components to mount. The MPx30 reference design can be downloaded from Fastrax Support Extranet or received by e-mail from: support(a)fastraxgps.com.
